Question about DB backup restore

Hello,

I bought a site and have set up wordpress on my hosting here. The guy I bought it from gave me the backup and I tried to restore the post made, but I can't make it stick.

Shows the backup tar.gz, but no post are restored? Any Ideals :confused:

Well since the backup is over the restore limit (92.5mb .gz) I was trying the BigDump method, but as you can tell by my lack of success (lol) I can't seem to finger it out ;)

I knew it was gonna be a rough one when the BigDump site said open the bigdump.php file and edit it. I thought ok, well then I opened it and it looked like one giant 4 thousand word sentence.

It could be that I was trying this after 20+ hrs of no sleep, so I'm setting up another attempt, maybe I'll have better luck this time around.

I normally don't care, but this site was a very busy place a few months back and I hate the thought of losing all those posts.
